This is a 4.5-5km walk into the McIvor Range area in the Heathcote Graytown National Park, overlooking Heathcote. For the first third of the walk the single file track slowly climbs as it rises and dips to Devil's Cave. Then we will follow a ridge with views down to Heathcote, out to Leanganook and the Cobaw Range to Viewing Rock. From here we descend back to the starting point near the Powder Magazine and Liquid Amber Forest.

We'll move at a slower pace for this walk. Most of the track is single file with one section of shared roadway, The track has been effected by the heavy rain storms in the last few months, so there are protruding rocks and loose gravel. It's recommended to bring nordic poles and sports shoes or boots. Be prepared for a few short strenuous climbs.

We'll stop at Viewing Rock for a food and drink break.

The meeting place is in a street behind the Heathcote Tourist Centre.
